Nelson Mandela once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” NAPE Foundation believes education builds capacity, is sustainable and can equip individuals to become effective leaders across the continent of Africa.
Africa, the second largest continent in the world, with a population of 1 billion, houses fewer than 300 institutions that provide higher education. Ghana, has approximately 27 universities available to a population of almost 24 million. NAPE Foundation’s aim is to create further educational opportunities by providing: scholarships for Ghanaian students attending current high schools and universities in Ghana, access to on-line degree programs in Ghana through Portland State University, and by developing a four-year Christian liberal arts college called Palm University.
“The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education”. Martin Luther King, Jr.
